Vigilant II Herbicide is an easy-to-use solution, for hard-to-kill woody weeds, wild tobacco tree, rhizomes plants, and herbaceous weeds.
The 240mL Vigilant II applicator brush bottle is reusable and can be refilled from a bulk pack. A brush bottle of Vigilant II can treat approximately 120 stems (with an average stem of 25 mm diameter applied as a 5 mm dollop of gel).
The active ingredients in Vigilant II Herbicide are 44.7 g/L picloram as the potassium salt and 4.47 g/L aminopyralid as triisopropanolamine salt in the form of a gel.
The powerful active ingredient aminopyralid delivers faster brownout and knockdown of target plants than rival products and a wider range of weeds controlled.

Application Methods for Vigilant II Herbicide
Check the label for which is the best method to use as different weeds will require a different application method.
Leaf Wiping Method
Herbaceous weeds such as cape weed and thistles, Vigilant II can be applied directly onto the leaves of the weed.
- Wipe in one direction along the length of the leaf
- You can also use it as a paint, where you dab it onto the leaves of broad leaf weeds
Paint and Scrape Method
Woody weeds with stems less than 2 cm in diameter:
- Scrape off the bark exposing a strip of 20 to 30 cm with an axe or knife and immediately apply Vigilant II with the wiping applicator over the exposed surface
Woody weeds with stems greater than 2 cm in diameter:
- Cut the stump with an axe or saw, close to the ground and immediately apply a thick layer of Vigilant II to the cut surface
