Tetrino® Turf Insecticide delivers an unmatched combination of performance, efficiency, and ease of use for professional turf insect management. It provides fast control and long-lasting protection against a broad spectrum of turf insect pests while using a low rate of active ingredient, making it a flexible and sustainable solution for modern turf programs.
Tetrino is designed for use across a wide range of managed turf environments, including golf courses, sports fields, bowling greens, racetracks, recreational lawns, and turf farms, offering reliable protection where turf quality and surface performance are critical.
Key benefits of Tetrino Turf Insecticide
- Effective: A single product provides reliable, best in class control of both scarab larvae and stem weevil, as well as turf damaging caterpillars
- Efficient: Fast-acting with immediate feeding cessation giving you peace of mind that your turf is protected and that application does not need to be made any earlier than required
- Easy to use: Preventative and early curative efficacy against a broad spectrum of insect pests which optimises application timing flexibility to ensure season long protection
- Not a scheduled poison and no re-entry period to provide a high level of peace of mind for safety of applicators and the general public
How Tetrino® Works
Tetrino works by rapidly stopping insect feeding, which prevents further turf damage while delivering effective control of target pests. Its mode of action allows applications to be made when required, rather than earlier than necessary, supporting efficient and targeted insect management.
An understanding of local insect lifecycles is essential to maximise Tetrino’s performance. Monitoring pest activity, seasonal patterns, and lifecycle stages throughout spring and early summer helps ensure applications are timed for optimum control.
Turf Pests Controlled
Tetrino provides reliable control of key turf insect pests, including scarab larvae, stem weevil, and turf-damaging caterpillars, making it suitable for both preventative and early curative insect management programs.
Application and Mixing Guidelines
Effective insect control requires thorough and uniform coverage. Tetrino should be applied using sufficient water volume to ensure proper distribution across the target area.
When targeting soil-dwelling pests that require movement of the product into the soil profile, apply in a minimum of 200 L water/ha, followed by irrigation or rainfall. For other insect pests, apply in a minimum of 400 L water/ha.
Before mixing, ensure spray equipment is clean and free of residues. If required, wash the sprayer with water and detergent and treat washings as hazardous waste. Fill the spray tank to half the required water volume, accurately measure and add Tetrino, then complete filling with water while maintaining agitation.

Best Practice Guidelines for Using Tetrino Turf Insecticide
Understanding Insect lifecycle
An understanding of the insect lifecycles in your location/region is valuable to develop the optimum timing of application and maximise control. Consult previous records and/or monitor for insect activity and lifecycle stages throughout the spring and early summer.
Application Tips
Good control requires good coverage. Application should be made using sufficient water to ensure thorough, uniform coverage. Apply in a minimum of 200 L waterh/ha when applying to soil pests that require follow-up irrigation or rainfall to move the product to the soil. For other insect pests, apply in a minimum water volume of 400 L water/ha.
Mixing Tips
Ensure that the spray is clean and free of residues. If necessary, wash out the sprayer with water and detergent before use and treat washings as hazardous waste.
