Tempo XTRA® is a dual mode of action insecticide designed to deliver fast knockdown and lasting residual control across turf and ornamental applications. Its unique combination of contact and systemic chemistry makes it highly effective against some of the most difficult insect pests encountered in professional turf and landscape management.
In turf situations, Tempo XTRA is registered to control nine key pests, including notoriously hard-to-manage insects such as Argentine Stem Weevil and Couch Mite. In ornamental applications, it is registered to control twelve insect pests, including economically significant species such as aphids, mealybugs, scale, whitefly, and thrips.
Key benefits of Tempo XTRA Insecticide
- Broad Spectrum insect control in both Turf and Ornamentals
- Excellent activity on tough turf pests such as Argentine Stem Weevil & Couch Mite
- Rapid knockdown of pests. Quicker than any other product within the market
- High quality formulation, containing HAS Technology for superior and consistent performance
- Unique mix of residual (systemic) and knockdown (contact) chemistry provides excellent protection for the plant
- Research has shown that the active ingredients in combination provide a synergy, increasing control by up to 40%
- Ideal as a resistance management tool (2 different modes of action are being used simultaneously)
- Ultimate versatility. Also registered for pest control uses. Good for the maintenance facility
How Tempo XTRA® Works
Tempo XTRA utilises a dual mode of action system, combining fast-acting contact chemistry for immediate pest knockdown with residual systemic activity that protects treated plants over time. This balanced approach ensures insects are controlled quickly while reducing the likelihood of reinfestation.
The formulation incorporates HAS Technology, which enhances performance consistency and improves the delivery of active ingredients across plant surfaces, contributing to reliable and repeatable results in challenging pest pressure situations.
Ornamental Plant Safety
Tempo XTRA Residual Insecticide has been tested on a wide range of ornamental plant species and has demonstrated excellent plant safety when used according to label directions. These include, but are not limited to, Roses, Azaleas, Pelargoniums, Magnolia, Melaleuca, Eucalyptus, Viburnum, Camellia, Azalea, and Lilly Pilly.
As plant sensitivity can vary depending on species, variety, and local environmental conditions, it is recommended to treat a small number of plants first if uncertainty exists, before proceeding with full-scale application.
Where to Use Tempo XTRA
Tempo XTRA is suitable for use in turf and ornamental environments, including managed turf surfaces, landscaped areas, and ornamental plantings. It is widely used in professional turf management, landscape maintenance, and facility upkeep where reliable insect control and plant safety are required.
