Stamina G is an easy-to-spread granular formulation of Stamina 90, designed to deliver excellent residual wetting performance and long-term prevention of localised dry spot. It provides the same proven residual surfactant technology in a granular format, making it ideal where liquid application is not practical.
Stamina G is specifically suited to higher cut turf situations such as sportsfields, parks, fairways, racetracks, and turf farms.
The granular formulation offers a practical solution for sites without boom sprayers, areas where spray application is not safe, during renovation or turf establishment phases, or where heavy vehicle access is limited. It is also well suited to use in new garden bed plantings.
Key Benefits and Product Characteristics of Stamina G
Stamina G delivers proven residual wetting performance backed by Nuturf and BASF, providing long-term prevention and control of localised dry spot. Its granular formulation offers excellent residual activity, with performance lasting for several months after application.
The product improves water usage efficiency by enhancing both water penetration and retention within the soil profile. By increasing the rate and depth of water movement, Stamina G helps reduce overall irrigation requirements while maintaining consistent soil moisture availability for turf roots.
Stamina G is formulated as a 20% granular surfactant on a zeolite carrier, with a granule size of 1–2 mm. The zeolite carrier provides a high cation exchange capacity (CEC) of 72 meq/110 g, supporting effective placement and sustained performance within the soil.
The formulation is non-burn, even under high temperature conditions, and is effective across both sand-based and heavier soil profiles. Application rates range from 125–150 kg/ha, allowing flexibility depending on turf use intensity and site conditions.
Stamina G is manufactured and developed in Australia for Australian conditions, ensuring reliable performance across a wide range of turf environments.
How Stamina G Works
The active molecule in Stamina G is a heavy molecular weight EO/PO block copolymer, a non-ionic surfactant containing ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) units. This chemistry allows efficient wetting by physically anchoring the water-repellent end of the molecule to hydrophobic sand particles, while the water-soluble end extends into the soil moisture phase to attract and distribute water.
The large molecular structure is responsible for Stamina G’s outstanding residual performance. Due to the complexity of the molecule, microbial decomposition occurs slowly over several months, allowing the surfactant to remain active in the soil for extended periods and provide consistent protection against localised dry spot.
Where to Use Stamina G
Stamina G is ideal for use on sportsfields, parks, fairways, racetracks, turf farms, and other higher cut turf environments where long-term moisture management and residual performance are required, particularly in situations where liquid application is impractical or restricted.
