Exteris® Stressgard® is a next-generation turf fungicide formulated with a unique combination of two active ingredients and two proprietary formulation technologies. It delivers fast curative and strong preventative control of a broad spectrum of damaging turf diseases, while also enhancing plant health and overall turf quality.
Exteris Stressgard combines a new SDHI fungicide from a unique chemical group with a proven QoI partner, providing dual-action knockdown and long-lasting protection. Its advanced formulation allows it to be used confidently across all seasons, including periods of summer stress and during turf growth regulator programs, without concerns of growth regulation.
Key Features and Benefits of Exteris® Stressgard®
Exteris Stressgard provides broad-spectrum disease control against tough turf pathogens while helping manage resistance through dual active chemistry. Its fast knockdown action reduces disease scarring and supports quicker turf recovery, while long residual performance maintains protection between applications.
The formulation offers excellent flexibility, allowing consistent performance across a wide range of spray volumes and challenging environmental conditions. Exteris Stressgard shows outstanding turf safety and does not exhibit the growth-regulating effects associated with some fungicide chemistries, making it suitable for use during summer heat, cold conditions, and alongside growth regulator programs.
The convenient suspension concentrate (SC) formulation ensures easy mixing, straightforward application, minimal PPE requirements, and broad compatibility in turf spray programs.
How Does Exteris® Stressgard® Work
Exteris Stressgard combines two complementary fungicide actives to deliver both preventative and curative disease control. The SDHI component disrupts fungal respiration, while the QoI partner enhances knockdown and residual control. Together, these actives provide strong disease suppression and resistance management.
The formulation is enhanced with Leaf-Cote™ Technology, which improves spray droplet coverage and retention on the leaf surface while reducing dry time. This allows faster disease knockdown, improved consistency of performance, and greater confidence when spraying under less-than-ideal environmental conditions.
In addition, Stressgard® Formulation Technology supports turf plant health by helping alleviate both abiotic and biotic stresses. This contributes to improved turf colour, density, and overall quality beyond disease control alone.
Disease Control and Program Flexibility
Exteris Stressgard can be used as part of a preventative fungicide program at 14–28 day intervals, with shorter intervals recommended under high disease pressure or when used curatively. Its rapid knockdown and short leaf dry time allow it to perform effectively in both preventative and curative disease management strategies.
The product can be used year-round to help prevent and manage diseases such as Dollar Spot, Brown Patch, Fusarium, and other common turf diseases, providing flexibility to build or integrate into a Stressgard® fungicide program.
Where to Use Exteris® Stressgard®
Exteris Stressgard Fungicide is suitable for use across a wide range of managed turf environments, including:
-
Golf course greens, tees, and fairways
-
Sports fields and stadium turf
-
Professional turf and landscape settings
Its excellent turf safety and lack of growth regulation make it a reliable option during peak summer conditions, extreme cold, and throughout intensive turf management programs.
