Daconil Weather Stik® is a broad-spectrum contact fungicide designed for use as the foundation of preventative turf disease programs, with the flexibility to be used early curatively once initial disease symptoms appear. Its proven contact activity makes it a reliable option for protecting turf surfaces under challenging mowing and irrigation conditions.
Highly effective against major turf diseases including Dollar Spot, Winter Fusarium, Brown Patch, and the Helminthosporium (Helmo) complex, Daconil Weather Stik delivers dependable surface protection where disease pressure is high.
Key benefits of Daconil Weather Stik Turf Fungicide:
- Broad spectrum of major turf diseases including Dollar Spot, Winter Fusarium, Brown Patch and the Helmo complex
- Sticks and stays under tough mowing and irrigation practices
- Tank mixture with Banner Maxx or Heritage Maxx combines systemic and contact action
- Multi-site mode of action with low resistance potential as the basis of a preventative disease program
- High quality suspension formulation with best in class milling, suspendability and mixing
- Low odour, non-staining formulation
How Daconil Weather Stik® Works
As a contact fungicide, Daconil Weather Stik works by protecting the turf surface from new fungal infections. It targets spores and fungal structures on the leaf surface, preventing germination and disease establishment.
Its strong adhesion to leaf surfaces ensures that the fungicide remains in place, providing effective protection during high-risk conditions. This “stick and stay” performance is particularly valuable in preventative programs and early curative situations where stopping further infection is critical.
Disease Control and Application Timing
Daconil Weather Stik is ideally positioned as the basis of a preventative disease control program, but it can also be used early curatively once symptoms are first observed, particularly when combined with systemic fungicides.
The lower rate of 13 L/ha is suitable for preventative programs and tank mixtures. The higher rate of 20 L/ha should be considered in curative situations where disease pressure is already present.
For example, if Dollar Spot symptoms such as scarring are visible, Daconil Weather Stik can be applied alone at 20 L/ha, or tank mixed with Banner Maxx at 5–10 L/ha. In curative scenarios, residual activity may be shorter due to high pathogen populations, so a follow-up application of Headway Maxx® at 9 L/ha after 7–10 days is recommended to protect new growth for the following 4–5 weeks.
Always refer to the product label for full application instructions.
Mixing and Compatibility
Daconil Weather Stik is a high-quality suspension concentrate (SC) with excellent suspensibility in spray mixtures. It mixes completely with water and may be tank mixed with many commonly used fungicides and liquid fertilisers, making it a flexible option within integrated turf disease programs.
