Casper® is a selective post-emergent herbicide specifically formulated for use on turf. It contains a dual-active combination of 50% dicamba and 5% prosulfuron, delivering highly effective control of a wide range of broadleaf weeds while maintaining excellent turf safety.
With prosulfuron introduced as a newer active ingredient for turf, Casper provides a modern, reliable solution for post-emergent weed control across managed turf surfaces.
Key Benefits of Casper Turf Herbicide
- Broad spectrum selective post-emergence herbicide for turf
- Highly effective in controlling many broadleaf weeds including Creeping Oxalis, Dandelion, Wireweed and many more
- Dual active ingredients, including prosulfuron, a new active for turf
- Convenient water dispersible granular formulation with economical rates
- Complete weed solution for turf in combination with Barricade and Monument Liquid
- Quick systemic action (xylem and phloem) with root, shoot and leaf uptake
How Casper® Turf Herbicide Works
Casper is absorbed through the leaves, shoots, and roots of target weeds, providing full systemic activity via both xylem and phloem movement. This dual translocation allows the active ingredients to move throughout the weed, ensuring effective control of above- and below-ground growth.
For best results, applications should be targeted to achieve thorough coverage of weed foliage and shoots. Following application, Casper can also be washed off the leaf surface and into the soil, promoting root uptake and enhancing complete systemic action.
Weed Control Performance and Timing
Casper delivers high levels of post-emergent weed control, with follow-up applications only required if significant new seed germination occurs after treatment.
Applications should ideally be made when weeds are actively growing, as active growth is essential for effective systemic movement within the plant. Applications made late in the growth cycle, when weeds are alive but not actively growing, may result in reduced performance.
Flexible application rates between 0.6–1.2 kg/ha allow Casper to be tailored to different weed species and pressure levels while maintaining economical use. For full application details and weed-specific rates, the product label should always be consulted.
Mixing and Compatibility
Casper is supplied as a water-dispersible granule (WDG) that mixes completely with water to form a homogeneous, easy-to-apply suspension. The formulation has minimal odour and non-staining properties, making it suitable for use across a wide range of turf environments.
When tank mixing, always observe label instructions regarding the addition of a non-ionic surfactant to ensure optimal uptake and performance.
