Banner® Maxx is a proven systemic fungicide widely used as an early curative solution for the control of major turf diseases. It delivers reliable broad-spectrum control of Dollar Spot, Winter Fusarium, and the ERI complex, including Couchgrass Decline and Take-all Patch.
Formulated with a proprietary surfactant system and low-odour micro-emulsion technology, Banner Maxx provides excellent plant safety while eliminating concerns around equipment corrosion. Its fast uptake and even systemic movement allow it to quickly stop disease activity once symptoms appear.
Key benefits of Banner Maxx Turf Fungicide
- Broad spectrum of major turf diseases including Dollar Spot, Winter Fusarium and the ERI complex (Couch Decline and Take-all Patch)
- The number 1 choice for effective Spring Dead Spot control
- Fast absorption and even systemic movement combines to ensure effective “stopping power” for early curative situations
- Tank mixture with Daconil Weather Stik combines systemic and contact action
- MAXX technology allows for excellent tank mix compatibility with other fungicides and foliar fertilisers
- Low odour, non-staining formulation
How Does Banner® Maxx Turf Fungicide Work?
Banner Maxx is rapidly absorbed into turf foliage and translocated systemically throughout the plant. This movement allows the active ingredient to reach infection sites quickly, making it particularly effective once disease symptoms first become visible.
When tank mixed with a contact fungicide such as Daconil Weather Stik, Banner Maxx delivers both internal systemic control and external surface protection. This combination improves early curative performance and helps suppress further spore development on the leaf surface.
Application Timing and Rate Strategy
Banner Maxx is best positioned as an early curative fungicide, applied soon after disease symptoms are observed. The speed of absorption and systemic activity ensures rapid suppression of active disease.
A rate of 5 L/ha is suitable for preventative programs, while 10 L/ha should be considered in curative situations where disease pressure is higher.
For example, where Dollar Spot symptoms such as scarring are already present, Banner Maxx can be applied alone at 10 L/ha, or at 5 L/ha when tank mixed with Daconil Weather Stik at 20 L/ha. In curative situations, residual control may be shorter due to high pathogen populations, so a follow-up application with Headway® Maxx at 9 L/ha is recommended. This approach helps stop disease progression and protect new growth for approximately 4–5 weeks.
Always consult the product label for full application details.
Mixing and Compatibility
Banner Maxx is formulated as a micro-emulsion concentrate (ME) and does not contain petroleum solvents, resulting in minimal odour and excellent handling characteristics. It mixes completely with water and is compatible with a wide range of commonly used fungicides and liquid fertilisers, making it easy to integrate into existing turf management programs.
Where to Use Banner® Maxx Turf Fungicide
Banner Maxx is well suited to large turf areas and high-use surfaces where reliable systemic disease control is required. It is commonly used on:
-
Golf course fairways and tees
-
Sports fields and sporting ovals
-
Polo fields and racetracks
-
Parks and recreational turf areas
-
Couch and Bentgrass turf surfaces requiring Spring Dead Spot or Dollar Spot control
Its fast absorption and even systemic movement make Banner Maxx particularly effective on broad-acre turf where consistent coverage and strong early curative activity are essential.
