Acelepryn® GR Insecticide delivers unmatched, season-long control of turf grubs and caterpillars in a single application. This convenient granular formulation provides the same proven performance as liquid Acelepryn®, now in a no-spray option that offers greater flexibility, ease of use, and minimal disruption in sensitive environments.
With long residual activity and exemption from poison scheduling, Acelepryn GR protects turf for extended periods while reducing PPE requirements for operators. Its high turf safety and low environmental impact make it a trusted solution for professional turf managers seeking reliable insect control with fewer operational constraints.
Key Features of Acelepryn GR (Granule) Insecticide:
The granule formulation offers you the same benefits as the liquid you know and trust, such as:
- Season long control
- Exemption from poison scheduling
- High turf safety and low environmental impact
- A flexible option for tight or difficult to access turf areas such as schools, passive parks and around trees and other obstacles
- Ease of use with no spray equipment, no re-entry periods and no PPE requirements
- Ease of activation with a minimum of 3mm irrigation
How Acelepryn® GR Works
Acelepryn GR controls insect pests through ingestion, targeting larvae as they feed within the turf profile. Once activated by irrigation, the active ingredient moves into the root zone where it provides extended residual control against grubs and caterpillars.
Its long-lasting mode of action ensures protection throughout the peak pest activity period, preventing damage before it becomes visible and maintaining turf quality over the entire season.
Turf Pests Controlled
Acelepryn GR provides broad-spectrum control of major turf insect pests, including:
-
African Black Beetle
-
Argentinian Scarab
-
Billbugs
-
Caterpillars such as Cutworm, Sod Webworm, and Lawn Armyworm
This wide control spectrum makes Acelepryn GR a reliable single-application solution for both preventative and early curative programs.
How to Use Acelepryn® GR Insecticide
Acelepryn GR can be applied using any professional turf fertiliser spreader. During application, equipment should be checked periodically to ensure even and accurate distribution across the target area.
For optimal results, irrigate with approximately 6 mm of water immediately after application to activate the granules and move the product into the turf profile. When targeting caterpillars, irrigation and mowing should be delayed for 24 hours following application to maximise control.
Application rates range from 75 kg/ha to 150 kg/ha, depending on pest pressure and turf conditions.
Where to Use Acelepryn® GR
Acelepryn GR is ideal for use across a wide range of turf environments, particularly where spraying is impractical or undesirable. It is well suited to:
-
Golf courses and sports fields
-
Schools and childcare facilities
-
Passive parks and public open spaces
-
Turf areas around trees, obstacles, and landscaped features
-
Community and high-traffic environments
Its no-spray, low-impact formulation makes it especially valuable in areas requiring minimal disruption and maximum safety.
