Monstar SC Fungicide
|
Monstar SC is a fungicide containing the active flutalonil, which is well known in other countries for the control of Fairy Ring and other problematic Basidiomycete fungi. Flutolanil is in a unique mode of action group – Group 7 (carboxanilide fungicide). Flutolanil inhibits an enzyme complex necessary for respiration in basidiomycete fungi. As a result, it both prevents fungal growth, whilst it also possesses curative activity, by causing the collapse of the fungi’s hyphae. The rate of Monstar SC for the control of Fairy Ring is 10 to 20L of product per hectare. The addition of a penetrant surfactant is recommended to assist the fungicide reaching its target zone. Repeat application maybe required at 30 day intervals in curative control situations.
